Robot Girls Z did not fail to impress me. The show is consistently hilarious and provides lots of laugh. While it is a shame that it's only a short show with 3 mini-episodes every month but I think it works best that way so that the joke doesn't outstay its welcome.
Episode 2(or mini-episode 4-6) manages to be even more hilarious than the first 3 mini-episodes and provides a lot more cameo appearances of more robots like Gaiking, Gakeen, Barattack, Danguard and Minerva X. If you haven't picked up Robot Girls Z and you're looking for an anime just to relax and have a laugh, this one will not disappoint. I will give a warning thought that there are some pretty lewd scenes in Episode 2 especially mini-episode 5 and 6.
As for Wake Up, Girls! the animation quality really doesn't improve after the first few episodes. Some could argue that the quality even decreases in the last episodes. However, the story goes along nicely and while it's not as dark as some people hoped it would be it provides an entertaining idol show which is different than the usual happy idol shows.
They added a new OP song for Wake Up, Girls! on Episode 3. At first I thought it was a bit meh but after listening to it a few times the song is actually quite catchy and I ended up liking it. Sad that the anime doesn't offer a large selection of songs like in other idol anime. I guess it's because the focus is more on the drama rather than the actual singing, which I think is okay.
I have picked up more shows this season and are planning to pick up more. Some of the titles I am planning to pick up are: Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren, D-Frag!, Mikakunin de Shinkoukei, Nourin, Saki: Zenkoku-hen, Seitokai Yakuindomo*, Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda and maybe Sakura Trick. I will probably write some post about these anime if and when I pick them up.
What do you think of these 2 anime or whatever anime you've been following this season so far? Post a comment below!
