Kickstarter Watch #16: Chroma Squad - Indie Sentai Studio

Everyone who had a childhood should know about Sentai Squads, you know Power Rangers and the like. Nowadays, it's a bit rare to find a game about these kind of things so Behold Studios' take on a Sentai Squad game captures my interest immediately. And of course, just like with their last game Knights of Pen and Paper, they've added a unique twist to the story.

Greenlight It! #9: BROFORCE

Some of us love the 80s and 90s action movies and loved The Expendables for what it was, a nostalgia trip for action movie fans. Naturally, we want to see that kind of thing in video game form but The Expendables video games are really bad. But now we have BROFORCE, a sidescrolling platformer action game which will give you your 80s/90s action movie nostalgia trip. And it doesn't suck.

Greenlight It! #8: Go! Go! Nippon! ~My First Trip to Japan~

Visual Novels are usually about telling a story, like what you guys could see on the last Greenlight It! which talks about Dysfunctional System. Now today's Greenlight It! will also be about a VN, however the purpose of this VN is a bit different than usual. It does still have a story to tell but it's main purpose is to act as a tour guide for those who are planning to go to Japan or just wanted to experience what it is like over there.

Greenlight It! #6: The Novelist

Back again with another Greenlight It! blogpost. Today I'm going to talk about a really interesting looking game called The Novelist. This game is made by Kent Hudson, the guy behind a few AAA games(Thief: Deadly Shadows, Bioshock 2, etc) and explores the story of Dan Kaplan, a novelist who is struggling to finish his work while trying to be there for his family.

Greenlight It! #5: Agarest: Generations of War

Okay so JRPS aren't so big in the PC as it is in consoles but that doesn't mean ALL PC Gamers dislike JRPGs. I for one, like to play JRPGs and would like to see more of them for the PC. Now Ghostlight wants to bring Agarest: Generations of War from the PS3 and xbox to Steam and of course I'm really happy to hear that.

Greenlight It #4: C-Wars

Another interesting find in Steam Greenlight. C-Wars is a sci-fi game which combines gameplay from various genres like RTS, tower defense, tactical game and RPG. It combines interesting gameplay with really good looking pixel art and animation, reminiscent of classic SNES or GBA games.

Greenlight It! #3: RIOT

I stumbled upon this game on Greenlight and I just love the way it looks. The style reminded me of Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery. It's simple pixel arts but when you look at it, it's just hard not to fall in love with how great it looks.

Greenlight It! #2: Delver's Drop

Quite some time since the last Greenlight It! huh? no matter! because you're going to like this one! It's a 2D Action RPG with physics-based movements and it looks gorgeous. Just one look at the game's video and screenshot already made me fall in love with the game, at least based on its looks.

Like my (rarely done) Kickstarter Watch series of posts I'm now going to start a Greenlight It! series of posts to talk about some interesting games on Steam Greenlight that might need some vote. For the first one, I've chosen Croixleur, an anime-style hack and slash game.

Beware Planet Earth Review

A few years back, Plants vs Zombies was a really big hit. Casual and hardcore gamers alike plays the game and it is very very addictive. Combining tower defense gameplay with cartoonish artstyle and making it a more casual experience made the game accessible to anyone regardless of gender or age. Now, Beware Planet Earth tries to do the same thing, would it be a big hit like Plants vs Zombies or is it just a clone trying to cash in on Plants vs Zombies' popularity? we'll see.

Eryi's Action Review

I saw Eryi's Action before on Steam greenlight and decided to buy it because it's in Groupees Build a Greenlight Bundle. The game looks like a fun platformer with cute anime-style aesthetics, it'll probably be a relaxing game right?...right?... wrong!
