Kickstarter Watch #11: Shroud of the Avatar

Richard Garriott is back. Well if you don't know who Richard Garriott is you should probably check out here. While some of his games flops but he did make the Ultima series which is pretty awesome. And now, he's kickstarting his newest game, Shroud of the Avatar.

What interests me:
- It's Lord British, might not mean much these days but we can give him another chance.
- Immersive world
- Focuses on story and exploration
- Online game, but also offers offline play/single player

The feature list is pretty interesting to read as the game offers interesting stuff like classless system(I'd imagine this would be similar to The Elder Scrolls series or Fallout), Player Housing, and many more. The gameplay looks quite interesting although the graphics seems a bit aged. However graphics isn't everything and as long as the gameplay's great then a bit of an aged graphics isn't really a big deal. Besides, they still have time to improve it before release anyway.

I'm still a bit sceptical about this campaign but you should still check it out. Who knows, this might be the game for you.
